Friends Ahoy is starting with the broader digital community first. Member-led conversations, the Connection Profile, the Islands, and the early gatherings that bring all of it to life. That's where we're putting our energy now. It's where the best version of this can grow without limits.
Real-world gatherings are absolutely on the horizon, and we're going to do them right. That means listening to the crew, taking our time, and making sure every gathering feels as warm and intentional as everything else we make.
So this page is honest about where things stand. Some formats are coming soon. Others are being shaped with the early crew. None of it is fake-it-till-you-make-it. When we say something is happening, it's happening. Until then, you're invited to help us build it.

Crew Conversations
Small, hosted gatherings of crew members around a shared prompt or theme tied to one of the 5 Pillars. Structured enough that you'll never be searching for what to say next. Open to crew anywhere. Wherever you are, you're welcome.
Island Hangouts
Casual, low-pressure gatherings shaped by each Island and the people in it. The format flexes to the activity. A Gaming Cove session looks different from a Book Bay one. They all share the same spirit of low-stakes, low-effort connection.
Smaller Connections
For crew who want to go deeper than a group setting allows. We're designing one-on-one and small-group formats with the early community. The focus is intentionality, comfort, and quality over performance.
In-Person Meetups
The long-term dream is real-world gatherings, wherever the crew is. We'll grow into this carefully, in places where the community is strongest, with hosts we know and trust. Worth doing right, not first.
Showing up is hard. Every form of it. We didn't design these gatherings for people who find socializing easy. We designed them for people who find it hard but want it anyway.
